LEWISTON — The first Full Moon Singing Circle at The Center for Wisdom’s Women will have its first gathering on the “Wolf Moon” at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27. All women are welcome to join. There is no cost.
Members of the Women With Wings circle in Bangor will attend this first circle.
No experience is needed, not even the ability to read music. The group will be sharing simple songs with repetitive words and melodies, very easy to learn and harmonize. Hot tea will be provided. Bring a munchie to share if you can and rhythm instruments are welcomed.
The women’s center is at 97 Blake St., between Pine and Ash, behind the Healy Terrace building. Look for the door with a large sunflower sign next to it. Limited parking is available along the building, and along the fencing. Parking is also available on the street, or in the Park Avenue garage one block away.
A gathering of women singing circles and female singer song-writers is being planned for March 9 as a concert and sing-along at Trinity Church in celebration of International Women’s Day.
