Slippery roads involved in Wilton crash

WILTON — A Temple woman was injured early Thursday morning when the car she was driving went off the road, rolled and hit trees.

Regina Stefanelli, 31, was traveling east on Route 43 when the accident occurred. Slippery roads were to blame, as rain and sleet fell at about 7:30 a.m., Wilton police officer Brian Lynch said.

Stefanelli was alone, traveling toward Farmington in a 2005 Toyota Corolla. No other vehicle was involved, Lynch said.

He said the woman suffered minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital.

The demolished car was towed.
