Spotlight will shine on autos


FRYEBURG – The Rotary Club of Fryeburg Area will hold its 3rd Annual Antique Auto Show Sunday, June 18, at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds. There will be antique and classic cars galore, with 16 classes, including one for motorcycles, past and present. Three trophies will be awarded in each class, as well as one for Best in Show.

Preregistration is encouraged and entitles purchasers to a discounted registration fee of $8 and a quick in via the Easy Pass Toll Booth. Dash plaques will be given to owners of the first 150 cars registered. Registration after June 10 or at the gate will be $10.

Gates will open at 8 a.m.for competitors.

New this year is a Model Car Contest for the kids, featuring prizes from the new Disney-Pixar movie “Cars,” as well as trophies for the first place finishers in each age group.

There will also be food, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, music by the Jammin’ DJ, and more. Admission is $3 per person with children under 12 free.
