Spring has sprung at Adult Education

MECHANIC FALLS — RSU 16 Adult Education (Mechanic Falls, Minot, Poland) spring courses are focused on getting outside, planting gardens and selling after spring cleanup. Registrations may be made by mail or in person at 108 Lewiston St., third floor. For more information, call 345-3217.

Birds with Bonnie: Learn about birds from longtime bird watcher Bonnie Soper, who has volunteered for Thorncrag Bird Sanctuary. Bring bird books and binoculars and dress casually in layers for an outdoor learning experience from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 1. Rain date: May 8. Course fee: $6.

Composting: Discover the methods and secrets of successful composting with an Oxford County Extension instructor from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 28. Course fee: $5.

Container Gardening: Chuck and Donna McNally will help create a window box or fill a container with spring flowers. Bring a 24-inch container (or smaller) or purchase a 24-inch window box. Plants will be supplied. It will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 15. Course fee: $6, plus $20 lab fee to be paid to instructor.

Growing Seedlings: Get help to grow seedlings from Donna and Chuck McNally. Start up to 72 plants to nurture indoors and later transfer to a garden from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 17. Course fee: $6, plus $20 lab fee to be paid to instructor.

eBay®: Learn the basics of buying and selling on the Internet using the eBay Web site with computer instructor Jenny Rose. E-mail and Internet experience required. Account information will be needed to use PayPal. It will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29. Course fee: $16.
