JAY – The wedding of Tamara L. St. Pierre and Robert L. Shufelt was held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 1 at St. Rose of Lima Church. The Rev. Roger Chabot officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James and Linda Dwinal of Farmington. The bridegroom is the son of Robert and Shirley Shufelt of Greenville.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and her daughter, Alyssa.
Sarah Weatherbee, sister-in-law of the bride, was honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Karen St. Pierre, sister of the bride, Sharon Gagne, sister of the bridegroom, and Michele Knapp and Sandy Lord, friends of the bride. Alyssa St. Pierre, daughter of the bride, and Courtney Shufelt, daughter of the bridegroom, were junior bridesmaids.
Tim Dwinal, brother of the bride, performed the duties of best man, and ushers were Bill Shufelt, cousin of the bridegroom, Bill Hoyt and Dickie Caton, friends of the bridegroom, and Larry Lord, friend of the bride.
A reception followed at Eli’s Restaurant at Turner Highlands Country Club. The couple honeymooned on a Royal Caribbean cruise in the Eastern Caribbean in March. They are residing in Jay.
The bride is a 1982 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and is employed as a hospital-based physician support manager at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
The bridegroom is a 1983 graduate of Greenville High School and received a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation from the University of Maine at Farmington. He is employed as corrections supervisor for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
