RANGELEY — The Northern Forest Canoe Trail will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Saturday, July 24, during Paddler's Rendezvous with a host of activities.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. educational activities about the trail and the history of logging in the region will be ongoing at the Rangeley Lakes Region Logging Museum and Logging Festival on Route 16 in Rangeley.
The NFCT also hosts a Paddle 740 Miles in One Day event on July 24. Paddlers can contribute miles to the effort by joining organizers for a paddle on Rangeley's Haley Pond or paddle any section of the trail and add their miles online.
From 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. a celebration at Saddleback will feature a Summer in Maine dinner, a silent auction featuring a unique set of Maine items, a short recognition ceremony and live music by the band Phineas Gage.
