AUBURN - Marcel R. Girardin, 74, of 19 Autumn Lane, Lewiston died Monday, Dec. 25, at the Hospice House with his loving family by his side.

He was born in Lewiston on Sept. 24, 1932, the son of Arthur and Albertine Houle. He was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1951.

He was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict.

Following his service to his country, he worked at Jake and Andy's Donut Shop, Etonic Shoe Co. and Union Water Power until his retirement. After his retirement, he worked for 10 years for Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by his wife, Muriel (Potvin) Girardin, whom he married on Jan. 29, 1955; his daughter, Sue Heeschen, and companion, Ted McClellan and her children, Emma and Elliot Heeschen; his daughter, Pat Roy and her children, Rebecca and Alex Roy; his son, Dan Girardin, and his wife, Sharon and their twin daughters, Cindi Girardin and Jennifer Pinner, and her husband, Obadiah; his son, Roger Girardin, and his wife, Karen and their children, Jared, Cassidy and Eric Girardin; his sisters, Lucy Prince, Georgette Belanger, and her husband, Bert and Rita Culliton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Cecile, Muriel and Theresa Girardin, Jeanne Cloutier, Henrietta Gray and Yvette Berube; and his brothers, Romeo, Bert and Robert.
