Wednesday, June 20, 2007

LEWISTON - A motorcyclist injured when his Honda struck a deer on Minot Avenue on Monday night was recovering Tuesday at a Lewiston hospital.

Christopher Cameron, 32, of Poland was listed in good condition Tuesday at Central Maine Medical Center.

Police said Cameron was riding his motorcycle east on Minot Avenue about 9 p.m. when a deer ran into the road ahead of him.

Cameron attempted to steer around the animal but lost control of the bike, striking and killing the deer, police said.

No other vehicles were involved.
