LEWISTON - Deborah J. Ricker has been named vice president of mortgage services at Maine Family Federal Credit Union. She is responsible for managing the lending process of residential mortgage and home equity loans with Maine Family. Ricker is located at Maine Family's main office at 555 Sabattus St.
Employed in the banking and residential mortgage field since 1986, Ricker joins Maine Family with more than 20 years of related financial lending experience. With expertise underwriting loans, working extensively with mortgage, home equity and consumer loans, Ricker will assist credit union members seeking to purchase a home, refinance, or apply for a home equity loan.
Ricker has served as vice president, business development officer with Northeast Bank, as vice president, mortgage lending, with Norway Savings Bank, and was employed with other financial institutions.
Also joining Maine Family Federal Credit Union is Karen Caouette. She has been named director of marketing. In her position, she serves as a liaison with the media, local organizations with which the credit union partners, and is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing and community outreach plans for the credit union.
Caouette, a native of Maine, brings with her 23 years of management experience in public relations and marketing, media relations, copywriting, graphic design and development.
For 12 years, Caouette served as communications director for the Maine Council of Churches, where she created and implemented a publicity plan that consistently increased visibility for the organization. In addition, she served as director of community relations and development for Stephens Memorial Hospital; director of media relations for Maine Public Television; public relations director for the Maine State Music Theater; director of public relations for the Kennebec Girl Scout Council; and has experience in public and commercial radio news broadcasting.
