LEWISTON - The second annual FEZtival of Trees was held at the Kora Shrine Center from Nov. 17 through 24. The event raised more than $15,000 for the Kora Temple Building Fund.

There were 30 tree sponsors, advertisers and Chamber of Commerce members who attended the Business After Hours, and local crafters displayed their wares.

The results of the public balloting of the trees were:

Peoples Choice Award, K and K Excavation of Turner.

Most Beautiful Tree Award, L/A Harley Davidson of Lewiston.

Most Original Tree Award, Margaret Murphy Center for Children of Lewiston.

Next year's festival dates will be Nov. 22 to 25 and Nov. 28 and 29.

The Shriners support a network of 22 orthopedic and burn treatment hospitals across North America and provide care to children up to age 18 at no charge. Eligibility for care is not based on financial need or relationship to a Shriner.

Those who know of a child Shriners Hospitals might be able to help should call the toll-free patient referral line at 800-237-5055 or the Kora office at 782-6831. Kora Shriners represent Shriners from Kittery to Skowhegan. For more information, visit www.KoraShriners.org.
