It was a full house at the Lewiston Public Library's Callahan Room for the 'Soup to Music' night recently, as people stood in line to try out the soups, which were provided by the Lots to Gardens' vegetable harvest. Below, Kirsten Walter, the director of Lots to Garden's in Lewiston, is ready to serve the soups. The soups, tomato florentine with rice, curried pumpkin apple and potato vegetable chowder, were made from the vegetables grown in the city's gardens over the summer. At bottom, Buck and Shanti Curran of Arborea perform. The entertainers at the "Soup to Music" night at Lewiston Public Library included, from left front, Jessy Kendall, Denise Dill, Shanti and Buck Curran, both of Arborea; in front, Shylah Curran; from left back, Myles Robert, Ethan Miller and Sherie Blumenthal. Kate Boverman is missing from the photo.
