Wednesday, December 26, 2007
NORTH ANSON (AP) - The assistant principal and athletic director at Carrabec High School has been charged with unlawful sexual contact and sexual abuse of a minor.
Frank "Skip" Gleason III was arrested at his home in Anson late Saturday after a 15-year-old boy came forward.
Detective Carl Gottardi II of the Somerset County Sheriff's Department said the 60-year-old Gleason was released from jail on Sunday after posting $1,500 bail.
Gleason, who lives in Anson, has worked in the school district for more than 20 years. He has been placed on administrative leave.
A court date has been scheduled for Jan. 23.
Carrabec High School serves the towns of Anson, North Anson, Embden, New Portland and Solon, and has fewer than 300 students.
