AUBURN - Henry W. Park III, 84, of Auburn, passed away on March 2.

He was born on Nov. 27, 1923, in Mexico, the son of the late Henry W. Park II and Margaret (Burns) Park. He attended Mexico Schools and graduated from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mass., class of 1950.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with extensive training and all phases of communications and cryptography for two years in the South Pacific. After discharge, he was employed by the Oxford Paper Co. in Rumford and then transferred to the corporate headquarters in New York City. Henry then became Northeast district sales manager in Boston.

He and his wife have resided in Auburn the past six years. Henry was very active in the Medway Historical Society and for 12 years he chaired the Medway Auto Festival.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, the former Methyl Easter of Auburn; a son, Stephen of Auburn; a son, Greg and his children, James, Joseph, Christopher and Hannah Park of Medway, Mass.; and a daughter, Susan Pritchard and her husband, Timothy, and their children, Mike and Susan Pritchard of Franklin, Mass.
