BETHEL (AP) - Maine's senior senator visited Bethel and got her first look at the world's tallest snowwoman that bears her name.

Sen. Olympia Snowe posed for photographers Tuesday alongside the 122-foot-tall mountain of snow that its builders have named Olympia.

The snowwoman has eyelashes crafted from discarded skis and bright red lips made of painted car tires. While the senator's hair is black, her namesake is a blonde, with hair made from yellow rope.

Duties in Washington prevented Snowe from attending the snowwoman's dedication at the end of February. But in a statement that was read to the crowd, she joked that it was just her luck to have a world record-breaking monument named after her that will be gone by summer.

This whole Story is a complete waste of time and it goes to reenforce the Belief that this is the Latest in a series of Self-promotion schemes by the Wonder Not Woman who goes by the Name of Robin Zinchuck a Real Drama Queen. Now Olympia Posing for Photographs this is as close as this Greek (Not) Goddess will come to being a National running Mate to John McCain /One can only speculate as to Queen Robin's latest Plan also not to forget the sending of an email two days ago that virtually speeled the Pending Demise of Bethel Vet Gary Stuer only to learn 24 Hours that the Good Doctor was at home in Bethel not as grave as the Chamber email had presented. It seems as though the bethel Chamber of Commerce wants to Compete with Matt Drudge However Matt verifys his Scoops with more than one Source. Perhaps Queen Robin should rely on more than Our Own Ms White

clifford Drake, do you have a fetish for Ms. Zinchuk? And oh, Matt Drudge has been found guilty of journalistic misconduct a number of times.

No T I do not however I find it a bit much that during tough economic time we have a project like the So-called snowwoman taking the place of otherwise important action. Also to correct you mistake Matt Drudge has alwas been on the Money and his web site is as visited as the so-called visitation to the much Heralded Bethel chamber Web Site.I also am becoming Fatigued by the endless attempts of Queen Robin to Act as the Self appointed spokes person for Bethel. She is not an elected leader and she should abstain from creating a false Cult of personality for herself and her declining legions

No clifford Drake, Matt Drudge's OPINIONS have always been "on the money", but not his facts. At times, what he portrays as fact has been proven to be not true. Look it up. Drudge is not a journalist in the truest sense of the word. And oh, sense you're not a citizen of Bethel, why do you care what the Bethel Chamber of Commerce and its members do with their money? The snowwoman was a very inexpensive way to promote the area. Promoting economic growth is one of the primary reasons for the existence of any Chamber of Commerce. The snowwoman was seen around the world. Really, this issue is, you love to complain.
