Allen promoted to branch manager

NORWAY - Laurie Allen has accepted the position of vice president and Bridgton branch manager with Norway Savings Bank.

Allen brings more than 16 years of banking experience to this position with a specialty in loan origination and servicing. She began her career with Norway Savings Bank in 1997 as a teller in the Bridgton branch. In 1999 she transferred to the loan origination department and was promoted in 2001 to loan processing manager. In 2003, she was promoted to assistant vice president of retail loan systems. Most recently, she served as vice president and loan servicing manager, where she has been since January 2006.

As Bridgton branch manager, she will lead a team of employees in providing customer service for bank customers and will be responsible for the overall success of the branch.

Allen is a resident of Bridgton. She has been active in her community, volunteering regularly for the March of Dimes and visiting area nursing homes. Allen is pursuing her associates degree in business administration at Central Maine Community College.
