Concert goes for classics and whimsy

WINTHROP - The CODA Chorus will present a spring concert of old songs, classic pieces and whimsical arrangements - with a focus on the animal kingdom - Sunday, April 13, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
Included in the program are John Rutter's "All Things Bright and Beautiful," Bach's "Sheep May Safely Graze," and "Habanera" from Bizet's "Carmen," as well as folk songs and a round. Judith Mank and Rebecca Moore will provide flute accompaniment.
A free-will offering will be taken.
The concert will begin at 3 p.m.
At 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27, the University of Maine at Augusta Senior College will present this CODA concert at Green Street United Methodist Church in Augusta. Admission will be $10, with proceeds going to CODA.
CODA is directed by Delmar Small, with Ed Larson as the accompanist.
