"Leadership" By Garrett Glass Grade 7

"A leader leads his men by example, not by violence." - Sun Tzu
This is the best statement ever said about what characteristics a leader should have. Nowadays, it is quite hard to think of a good leader that could be a good example of what a real leader should be, because many of our current world leaders are money hungry and blood thirsty. Back before most of us lived, it was quite easy to describe what a good leader is, because usually all you would have to do is look at your leader and say "Pretty much that." But in this time that we live in, we cannot do that, hence having to write about what makes a good leader on a piece of paper. There are many things to say that would make a good leader that would spark up controversy, so I will.
A leader should be headstrong and not bending over to anyone but God. Unlike most leaders, a good leader must not be clouded in schizophrenia; they shouldn't be all over the place in their beliefs and opinions. A leader can't be soft, this does not mean unkind, just that they can't be taken down easily. A leader needs to be trustworthy, if they are not trustworthy, no one will listen to them. A leader must listen to the Lord, to know how to lead his people. A leader cares for his people before himself, for it is said:
"The fool looks at the mirror, but the wise man looks at the picture." |
