Central Maine

Christiain Academy

This year on April 11, some of the students of Central Maine Christian Academy went up to Bangor for the ACSI Maine Academic Day. We can go to Bangor to compete in music, math, science, speech, and art. This year, I went up for the music, but you can participate in more than one thing.

Music was a blast and it's a great opportunity! It's really fun until you actually get in front of the people to sing, and then, watch out! Here come the nerves! Once you start getting into the song, though, the nerves go away.

Oh, and don't forget about the food! It's always good! After both of the rounds are done, we all go to the sanctuary and have the awards ceremony. There, students who Pot a medal or superior ribbon are announced, while the other awards are announced back at school. It is a great experience because we get to compete with other Christian schools from all around the state. Those who don't go don"t know what they're missing out on!

Maine Academic Day was held on April 11. It is a day when Christian schools come together and compete in different events. There area number of different things to compete in.

Our school competes in music, math, art, and science. The teachers pick those students excelling in these areas to compete. I went for the music competition. This year, we performed solos. I sang "Move Forward" by Bethany Dillon and won an excellent ribbon.

Our school did awesome this year in the science, art, math, and music competitions. Maine Academic Day is a great day to make new friends, hang out, and have a great time. I especially enjoy it because we don't have to go to school and we just go to have a fun day!
