She was large, and could frighten people not used to horses, but she was really a big teddy bear. Maybe I should explain, ZuZu was my mother's Percheron horse. She lived in our barn in our backyard with my Quarter horse Lily. About mid-January Zulu went off her feed. When a horse goes of his/her feed, you know it's serious. We took her to the veterinary clinic, and that night she passed away. My parents didn't tell me until I got home from school that day. My best friend was with me when I heard the news and we both began sobbing. That was a difficult loss for my mother and I, but my father, best friend and her mother helped us through it. They were grieving too. ZuZu will always 6e in our hearts but we know she is no longer suffering.
