YMCA offers free Group Groove
Wednesday, May 7, 2008
AUBURN - If you can move, you can Groove, according to wellness director Tish Caldwell of the Auburn-Lewiston YMCA.
Caldwell explains the new Group Groove exercise class. You'll stomp, flick, wriggle, hip, hop, snap, shimmy, shake, slide, glide, smile and laugh your way through this 60-minute fitness dance program.
Youll experience a fusion of club, urban, and Latin dance styles with motivating chart topping hits and retro classic tunes. Our supportive, funky, easy going instructors will help you get a move on with Group Groove.
Each class starts with a warm-up to get you loose and ready to move.
You'll then experience seven songs taking you through the different dance styles. You will literally get to stomp, flick, shimmy and smile.
Group Groove is for anyone of any age who wants to have fun and also sweat a bit. Because Group Groove is a cardiovascular fitness program you can do it once a week or groove everyday. The more you groove the more your balance will improve.
The YMCA is offering a free Group Groove class for adults on Thursday, May 15 at 5:15 pm. Participants must register in advance by calling 795-4095 or stopping by the YMCA front desk prior to May 15. |
