State Rep. Mike Beaulieu, R-Auburn, stands with Auburn residents Dr. Carla Burkley and her daughter, Emily Talpey, in the House chamber, April 14. Dr. Burkley, who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, had the honor of serving as Doctor of the Day for Monday's session. Emily, who is student at Park Avenue Elementary School, served as an honorary legislative page, delivering messages and documents to members of the House.
