Capricorn: Now is the time to excel and take control

Friday, May 9, 2008

CELEBRITIES BORN ON THIS DAY: Steve Yzerman, 43; Billy Joel, 59; Candice Bergen, 62; Albert Finney, 72.

Happy Birthday: This is not a year to sit idle when you can accomplish so much. Making a move or renovating the place you live to suit your changing needs should all be put into play. Change is upon you - if you don't make the effort to proceed, the only thing you will feel is frustration.

ARIES (March 21-April 19): Making decisions while under emotional stress will turn out badly. You don't have to act fast in this case. In fact, the longer you wait to respond, the better. Patience will be required when dealing with others.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Put your heart and soul into your current relationships with family, friends and your lover, if you have one. If you don't, get out and meet new people and, before you know it, you will partner with someone. Develop a new interest.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Don't leave anything unfinished and, if that means taking a short trip to clear the air with a friend or relative, do so. You may want to address some of your old goals and readjust your way of approaching the same project.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): Love is on the rise and meeting people who have plenty to offer you appears to be in the stars. Open your heart and your home to friends, neighbors and family. Your suggestions will help solve problems; don't meddle.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): An unusual approach to something you do well will capture attention. Someone you work with may become emotional if you haven't pulled your weight.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Socialize, travel or develop something you enjoy doing. Love is in the stars and a relationship can be taken to new heights. Don't be too quick to respond to someone you work with. Helping others will bring about an opportunity.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Be clever in the way you handle business today, both at home and at work. Someone will blow situations out of proportion so prepare to defend yourself. Be honest but say only what's necessary.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): Avoid anyone who is trying to meddle in your affairs. Travel or get involved in activities that offer a challenge, the chance to network and the opportunity to interact with creative individuals.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Check out a prospect but don't overspend on things you don't need. Luck may be with you but don't take risks. Avoid being frivolous or overly generous with unworthy people.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Make changes to your home and surroundings, get involved in a great investment or take care of personal issues that have been weighing you down. Now is the time to excel and take control.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Someone you love may question your motives. Play it safe by being honest. Once you clear the air, you can get on with what needs to be done to liven up your home and your relationship with the one you love. A change at work will lead to a better position but more responsibility.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): Take the initiative to put your ideas into play. Present and promote what you have been working on. An old friend or lover is likely to come back into your life. Enjoy the walk down memory lane; it will motivate you.

Birthday Baby: You are kind, understanding and sensitive to what others do, say and think. You are intuitive and adaptable when need be but you tend to cling to what you have and the people you love.
