Lewiston Middle School students recently joined a group of volunteers on Earth Day at Genesis Health Care - Marshwood Center.

The volunteers included employees and their family members as well as the students.

Earth Day was kicked off at Marshwood by doing yard work. Volunteers spent much of the day raking leaves and setting up the summer furniture for patients and their visitors to have a place to sit outside and enjoy the warmer weather.

Some of the volunteers will return after Memorial Day to plant flowers in the patient sitting areas surrounding the facility.
