No verdict in R.I. death

Friday, May 16, 2008

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A jury has ended a second day of deliberations without reaching a verdict in the case of a Woonsocket aunt accused of killing her 3-year-old nephew.

Katherine Bunnell is charged with murder and conspiracy for the October 2004 death of Thomas "T.J" Wright.

The jury is scheduled to resume deliberations Friday.

Prosecutors say Bunnell beat Wright because she was mad he made a mess in her apartment. She allegedly struck the toddler in his head and face, dragged him down the stairs and poured milk over his head.

Bunnell's defense attorney says that while his client struck the toddler, she did not inflict the fatal injuries. He blamed her live-in boyfriend, Gilbert Delestre, who is also charged and will be tried separately.

Why? GIve yourself a time out if you have such severe anger issues. And please don't leave your children with your new boyfriends or you sisters new boyfriend or your friends new boyfriend. Expect the worse and your children will be safer.....

Julie, maybe you should read the article again...SHE is the one on trial here. She admits to hitting the child. SHE. I have seen some women out there who should never have had SEX, much less children, and the "boyfriends" have been the only stable safe influence in their lives. be very careful in the wording you are throwing around.
