Planning meeting

NEW VINEYARD - The New Vineyard Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, in the Historical Room. It will be a planning meeting. Residents are invited to attend with ideas of what the society can display at the Historical House at Farmington Fair.

Anyone who has relics of "ye olden tyme" they would be willing to loan for the exhibition at Farmington Fair should contact Arlene Webber at 652-2252 or Carolee Merrill at 652-2254.

Crafty sale set

FARMINGTON - Employees of NotifyMD will hold a crafty yard and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 31, in the parking lot, located off Front Street.

A rain date of June 7 has been scheduled.

A portion of the funds raised will be donated to the Franklin County Children's Task Force to support peer groups; for girls, Step it Up Sisterhood, and for boys, Boys Advisory and Mentoring.

Every Friday the employees donate to various local organizations in order to dress down and wear jeans to work, said a company representative. The yard/bake sale is a little extra they wanted to do for the children's groups.

Students of month

STRONG - Strong School Students of the Month for April were as follows:

Grade one, Jack Deming; grade two, Kaci Presby; grade three, Olivia Ryan; grade fourM, Hunter York; grade fourS, Sage Riendeau; grade five, Patia Jellison; middle school academic, Arthur Ryan; middle school citizenship, Holland Corson.

Shrubs for sale

FARMINGTON - Franklin County Soil and Water Conservation District will offer shrubs for sale at discounted prices from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in front of the 107 Park St. office.

Trees and shrubs that were not sold during the annual sale on May 10 will be available. Plants include lilacs, pear trees, weigela, holly berry, foxglove, high bush cranberries, Rougosa roses and low bush blueberries.
