Jay teams take awards in Lego track meet

JAY - The Lego Maineiacs Lego Team from Jay competed at the Southern Maine Lego Track Meet recently. The team, consisting mostly of third- and fourth-graders from Jay Elementary School came in third overall, losing to two teams from Pownal Middle School. The following students placed in their events:

Fourth-graders Spencer Brennick and Sam Moreau took second place on robot delivery mission.

Fourth-graders Sabastian Lombardi and Alex Christie took second place in the Ping Pong Ball Shotput.

Sixth-grader Erik Taylor took second place in Robot Speed Building.

Fourth-graders Alexa Perkins and Matt Cornelio took first in Lego Bridge Building.

Also participating were third-graders Noah Hutchinson, Noah Preble, Nathanial Goodine, Trevor Doiron, Austin Gilboe and Shane Riley.

Central Maine Medical Center College of Nursing and Health Professions
graduated 38 students recently in a ceremony at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston.
