Kenneth Jones, Sr., of Temple was honored during Monday's Memorial Day service at the American Legion Post #28 in Farmington. He was presented with the Maine Silver Star. State Rep. Tom Saviello along with Rep. Janet Mills and Senator Walter Gooley presented Jones with a legislative honor. Jones earned two purple hearts with clusters after being wounded twice and being a prisoner of war during WWII. His wife and family stood around him as he was honored.
