Oratorio Chorale schedules auditions

TOPSHAM - The Oratorio Chorale, under the direction of Peter Frewen, invites singers to audition for its 2008-2009 season.
Three sets of auditions will be held throughout the summer.
Auditions will take place 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 19; 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 23; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9. All auditions will be held at the Mid-Coast Presbyterian Church, 84 Maine St.
The Oratorio Chorale is an auditioned chorus of about 60 singers from 20 communities. It performs three concerts a year at venues in Bath, Freeport, Topsham and Yarmouth.
Choral masterpieces by Handel, Haydn and Mendelssohn will be among the works featured during the 2008-2009 season.
