Live variety show is hitting the road
Saturday, June 21, 2008
LOVELL - Since 1998, "The Early Evening Show" with Mike Miclon has been playing to packed houses at Oddfellow Theater in Buckfield. Rooted in the classic late-night talk show genre of Carson and Letterman, the show breaks down the traditional wall between audience and performers so that everyone feels a part of the show.
With its blend of improvisations, hilarious commercials, comic sketches and spectacular finales, "The Early Evening Show" has garnered national attention, with CBS Sunday Morning calling it "must-see reality."
Miclon has now joined forces with fellow performer Mike Vayda, and together they are taking "The Early Evening ROAD Show" to new levels, incorporating multimedia and a new stage design - and taking it to new locations.
It will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 26, at The Brick Church for the Performing Arts on Christian Hill Road, just off Route 5. Tickets at the door are $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and $25 per family. For more information, call 650-3978.
"The Road Show" is a unique mix of comedy and audience participation. Miclon has performed his high-energy antics at some of the finest theaters and special events across the United States and Europe, with such highlights as the Kennedy Center and the White House, The Keller Theater in Germany, The Victoria Jungfrau Hotel in Switzerland and the Festa Americana in Italy. |
