Gleason joins Alliance board

AUGUSTA - Dick Gleason, president of Gleason Media Services in Auburn, has been elected to the board of directors of the Alliance for Maine's Future, a statewide business advocacy and political organization.

Gleason's business enterprises include five radio stations serving Western and central Maine (WOXO AM and FM, WEZR and WTME AM and FM) as well as integrated Web-based media services.

Gleason has served on the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, the Boys and Girls Club of Auburn-Lewiston, University of Southern Maine Corporate Partners, the Auburn Business Association, the business advisory board for Congressman Michael Michaud, advisory committee for Central Maine Community College, and Auburn City Council. He recently was recognized by the University of Maine's Maine Business School for "Achievement in Business," as well as being named "Citizen of the Year" by the Auburn Business Association for his extensive community service.

He serves on the boards of The Maine Business School at the University of Maine, and Central Maine Community College. He serves as a corporator for the Auburn Public Library, Boys and Girls Club of Auburn-Lewiston, and Mechanics Savings Bank.
