FARMINGTON - Nuisance. Nuisance. Nuisance.
That's how people who woke Friday morning to find flat tires on their vehicles described their feelings.
About a dozen vehicles on Maple Avenue, Main and Front streets were among those hit. Four tires were deflated on some vehicles, two on others, Farmington police secretary Bonnie Pomeroy said.
"It's just a nuisance for people," especially those who were headed to work, she said.
More vandalism was reported in Livermore Falls, where five mailboxes were smashed on Moose Hill Road, Livermore Falls Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.
A person witnessed the action and tried to follow the assailants' vehicle, Steward said.
The witness saw two young men in a red Subaru station wagon with University of Maine license plates heading toward Fayette, he said.
Both police departments are interested in hearing from anyone who may be able to give them more information on the cases. Farmington police may be reached at 778-6311 and Livermore Falls police at 897-3424. |

Posted By:Observing at July 12, 2008 6:55 AM (Suggest Removal) Tip of the day: Buy 2 mail boxes. One large, one small. Put the small one inside the big one and fill the empty space between the two with concrete cement. That should fix them.
