BALTIMORE - Roy Halladay scattered seven hits over seven innings, leading Toronto over the Baltimore Orioles 7-1 Thursday after the Blue Jays won a game suspended one night earlier. In the suspended game, halted by rain in the sixth inning Wednesday, a strong performance by Toronto's bullpen preserved a 5-1 victory for A.J. Burnett. Giants 1, Nationals 0
SAN FRANCISCO - Matt Cain pitched a four-hitter, Dave Roberts singled home a run in the eighth inning and the San Francisco Giants earned their first three-game home sweep of the season Thursday with a 1-0 win over the Washington Nationals. Mets 3, Phillies 1

PITTSBURGH - Yoslan Herrera pitched six shutout innings for his first major league win, and the Pittsburgh Pirates got back-to-back homers from Jason Bay and Xavier Nady in a 9-1 victory over the San Diego Padres on Thursday night.
