HARRISON - The Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival season will continue Tuesday, Aug. 5, with a program featuring compositions by Menotti, Mendelssohn and Brahms. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Deertrees Theater.

Gian Carlo Menotti, the distinguished Italian-American composer who died in 2007, is best known for opera, especially the popular Christmas story, "Amahl and the Night Visitors." Later in life, he found expression for his eloquent voice in chamber music. His Suite for Two Cellos and Piano will be performed by Bonnie Thron and Thomas Kraines, collaborating with pianist Mihae Lee.

Next on the program is Mendelssohn's popular youthful work, String Quintet in A Major, Op. 18. Violinist Lucy Chapman Stolzman, chair of strings and chamber music at the New England Conservatory of Music, will lead the quintet. Stolzman has performed as solo and chamber music artist throughout the United States, Europe, Korea and Japan; is a frequent guest with the Boston Chamber Music Society; and is a longtime faculty member at Kneisel Hall in Blue Hill. At her side will be Portland Symphony concertmaster Charles Dimmick, festival music director Laurie Kennedy, Mark Holloway and Thomas Kraines.

Internationally known for her solo and chamber music appearances, Lee is the featured pianist in the dark, romantic Piano Quartet in C Minor by Brahms. Rounding out the cast are Stolzman, Holloway and Thron.

Tickets are $20, with free admission for those under 21. They are available at Books N Things, Bethel; The Cool Moose, Bridgton; Center Lovell Market, Lovell; The Country Sleigh, Naples; and Fare Share, Norway. Tickets may also be purchased by calling 583-6747 and online at www.sebagomusicfestival.org.
