Wanted: artists wanting to display their work

NORWAY - All Maine artists are invited to participate in the annual Judged Art Show hosted by the Western Maine Art Group, which will open with a reception Friday, Aug. 15, at Lajos Matolcsy Arts Center.
Three cash awards in two- and three-dimensional art will be determined by area art professionals: exhibiting artist and Buckfield High School art teacher Nikki Millonzi, exhibiting artist and advanced painting teacher Murad Sa˙en, and McLaughlin Foundation Executive Director and artist Michael Desplaines. A fourth cash award will be awarded by the board of directors of the Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce.
Artists of any genre may register to submit their work for judging until 1 p.m. on Aug 15. Artwork must be original, finished, framed, wired and ready for display.
The opening reception will run from 5 to 8 p.m. Lajos Matolcsy Arts Center is at 480 Main St. |
