Workshop to create 'the perfect fit'
Tuesday, August 19, 2008
LEWISTON - Hiring the best employee for your company will be the focus of a workshop at the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Jason Blais, director of field operations for JobsInME.com, will help attendees focus their employment brand to attract the best candidates to their company through the medium of job postings. He will discuss ways to hire the right fit for an organization's culture, and discuss the new, "non-traditional" reasons someone might choose one organization over another.
The seminar will outline best practices, provide strategies for attracting the best job candidates and conduct breakout groups to work on writing job postings.
Reservations are required; seats are limited. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. at the Chamber's Community Conference Room, 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston. Cost is $25 for members, $50 for nonmembers. Special group discounts are available. FMI: call the Chamber at 783-2249. To register, call or go to www.androscoggincounty.com. |
