2 charged in break-in, vandalism

Wednesday, August 20, 2008

LIVERMORE FALLS - Two teenagers have been charged after police say the youths broke into the former primary school Monday and broke windows and did some spray painting around the entryway.

A representative of Kimber & Ross Inc., a property management company, told police he locked up the building at 4 p.m. When he returned, he discovered the vandalism and called police at 7:12 p.m., police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said.

Officer Joe Sage arrested a 15-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy, both from Livermore Falls, and charged each with one count of burglary and one of criminal mischief, Steward said.

This is ridiculous! These kids have some kahunas to do this in the late afternoon, early evening with people out walking and getting home from work! Where is the respect for our community and trying to make it better and not so trashy. I just got back from Boston and walked through some ghettos and don't want my neighborhood to end up looking like that. I hope they get sentenced to community service and have to do some cleaning up around here, possibly on trash duty after the Apple-Pumkin Festival.
