Through the kindness of A. L. Kavanagh, esq., the children from the Healy Asylum were given an outing at Fish Hatchery Hill Thursday afternoon. They were supplied with baseballs and bats, a football, watermelons and bananas. The broad-tufted plateau encircled with pines furnished an ideal playground. Mr. Stanley and his assistant very kindly showed them thru the hatchery grounds with its many fish ponds. The L. A. & W. St. Ry. management generously furnished cars for the trip.

Tickets for Sunday's annual State of Maine Day at Fenway Park, Boston, are still available at the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce office, says Executive Secretary William P. Tewhey. The Red Sox will play a double header against the Kansas City Athletics with special events and ceremonies planned to honor BoSox fans from Maine.

• The Education Board yesterday accepted the superintendent of schools' recommendation to elect Andrew M. Drury of Goffstown, N.H., to an English teaching post at Lewiston High School. Drury has been an English teacher at Goffstown, N.H., High School the past two years and prior to that taught a year at Kents Hill Academy and was an instructor in the U.S. Army two years.

The Lewiston-Auburn chapter of the National Organization of Women plans to be on hand to protest the Rev. Jerry Falwell's "I love America" speech at the University of Maine at Farmington Tuesday night. The local NOW chapter is organizing a carpool to the site and will provide signs for those wishing to picket.

The protest starts at 6 p.m., an hour before Falwell's speech in Dearborn Gym.

Falwell is expected to discuss issues that "threaten the spiritual strength of the country," among which he includes abortion, according to NOW.
