LEWISTON - Adam W. Owen, M.D., an interventional pain management specialist, has been elected to the Central Maine Medical Center medical staff. He is practicing at the Central Maine Pain and Headache Center in Auburn.

Prior to working here, Owen completed pain management fellowship training through the Loma Linda University Medical Center Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Loma Linda, Calif.

He is a graduate of Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich., where he was awarded a bachelor's degree in zoology and a master's in biology. He earned his medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine.

He completed an internship in internal medicine and residency training in anesthesiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident.

Owen is a member of the International Spine and Intervention Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Medical Association.

Owen is a native of Durham. He and his wife, Kimberly, a pediatrician, have two sons, Jacob and Jeffrey.

The Central Maine Pain and Headache Center is located at 10 Minot Ave. and can be reached at 795-2927.
