PARIS - The following arrests were recorded at the Oxford County Jail:

• Brian W. Scribner, 40, of West Paris, Aug. 25, violation of bail conditions, no bail listed as of Aug. 28, Oxford County Sheriff's Office.

• Frederick L. Grace, 56, of West Paris, Aug. 25, tampering with a witness or victim, $25,000 bail, Maine State Police.

• Ezra Douglas Lincoln, 18, of Paris, Aug. 25, domestic assault, $100 bail, Paris Police Department.

• Thomas Edward Shaw II, 43, of Gilead, Aug. 26, fugitive from justice out of Tennessee, operating without a license, no bail listed as of Aug. 28, Bethel Police Department.

• Samuel C. Ridlon Jr., 36, of Sweden, Aug. 26, burglary, $500 bail, Maine State Police.

• Peter Michael Gordon, 30, of Rumford, Aug. 26, operating under the influence, operating after suspension, violation of bail conditions, no bail listed as of Aug. 28, Oxford County Sheriff's Office.

• Travis W. Smith, 20, of Oxford, Aug. 27, cultivating marijuana, $500 unsecured bail, Oxford County Sheriff's Office.

• Joseph Sherman Tracy, 20, of Mexico, Aug. 27, Rumford District Court warrant for unpaid fines, $630 bail, Rumford Police Department.

• Kurt R. Violette, 51, of Farmington, Aug. 27, criminal trespass, $500 unsecured bail, Oxford County Sheriff's Office.

• Kenneth E. Leighton, 43, of Bethel, Aug. 27, failure to register as a sex offender, conditional release, Norway Police Department.

• Jason R. O'Grady, 35, of Sumner, Aug. 27, habitual offender, $2,500 bail, Maine State Police.

• Mark Alan Ambrose, 33, of Rumford, Aug. 28, probation violation, no bail listed as of Aug. 28, Rumford Police Department.

This Travis Smith get's bail of 500.00 dollars but if you look back on the Court Logs and see where Joseph Bennett got aggravated cultivation and he got out on personal recognace this is wrong i don't think it should be this way

Just because you RAT someone out doesn't mean that he (Joe B.) should get a lighter sentence, this is wrong and he should be punished to the fullest.

The 500 dollars was unsecured! Which means he did not have put up a cent! He only pays the money if he fails to appear! DUH!!!

Might depend on their history with the law what the bail is set at.
