Sports Talk Live: Week 6 Preview

Thursday, October 9, 2008

It's hard to believe, but we're down to the final three weeks of the Class A schedule, with four weeks left in other major conferences.

And, as usual, nothing is even close to being decided.

The Lewiston Blue Devils' trip to Bangor highlights the PTC schedule this week, with Edward Little searching for a way to mend some internal fences after last week's near-debacle. Mt. Blue hosts Brunswick in a game that isn't worth much more than pride for the Cougars, though that is something there has never been a shortage of in the Farmington hills.

In Class B, Mountain Valley isn't one for going softly through lesser opponents, and the Falcons have another of those in Greely this weekend. Leavitt will face a stern test in rival Morse, and Poland will look to make it two in a row against a solid Fryeburg team.

Lisbon at Livermore Falls is a big matchup for those two schools, while Winthrop will look to stay unbeaten in the fog at OOB, and Dirigo the same against visiting Yarmouth.

Click on the attached audio link to hear Justin Pelletier, Randy Whitehouse and Kalle Oakes discuss these matchup and more in our weekly Sports Talk Live preview podcast, and look for a complete wrapup of this weekend's events early next week, right here at sunjournal.com!
