Maine SUV stolen, crashes
Friday, October 10, 2008
SANFORD (AP) - A joy ride in a Hummer ended badly for a pair of teenage girls, who crashed the SUV into a house and are facing burglary and felony theft charges.
The two suspects, who are 15 and 17 and from Sanford, went into a house in town and took the keys to a 2003 H2 Hummer valued at $30,000 on Tuesday afternoon.
The vehicle was located via On-Star in South Portland. Police there were notified, a chase followed and the Hummer crashed into a house.
The two suspects received medical treatment at a Portland area hospital. |

At 15 and 18 they are old enough to know right from wrong. I don't believe the parents should be held accountable for children who are "almost" adults.

Until then who has to pay deductables, etc. for the damages. You can't wait a year or three to repair the house. Put a lien on the parents and let them worry about getting their money back from these punks!
