Auburn to host talk for contractors

Friday, October 10, 2008

AUBURN - Building and code officials will host an informal meeting Oct. 24 for area builders and contractors at Auburn Hall.

The city's first Coffee with Contractors is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 24 in Auburn Hall.

The program lets contractors meet with city staff informally to exchange ideas, build relationships and discuss issues and concerns with the city's building, electrical and plumbing codes.

The first meeting will focus on the 2005 State Plumbing Code and issues inspectors have found applying it. State officials and representatives from Lewiston's planning and code department have been invited.

Questions or suggested topics for future meetings should be directed to Planning Director David Galbraith at 333-6600, ext. 1156 or via e-mail at dgalbraith@ci.auburn.me.us.
