AUBURN — Dr. Leo Goldberger, professor emeritus of psychology and past director of the Research Center for Mental Health at New York University, an international expert in the field of stress and adaptation, will be at Auburn Public Library in the Androscoggin Community Room from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 24.
The film “The Danish Solution,” narrated by Garrison Keillor, will be shown, followed by reflections and discussion.
As a teenager, Goldberger lived through the Nazi occupation and Danish rescue efforts. He also co-authored “Psychoanalysis and Contemporary Science,” “The Handbook of Stress” and “The Rescue of the Danish Jews: Courage Under Stress.”
The Library Café at Auburn Public Library will have sandwiches, coffee and other beverages for purchase. Desserts will be free of charge and provided by EL Connect/Auburn’s Community Learning Center.
