MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Chucky Atkins scored 22 points and Pau Gasol finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists to help the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Golden State Warriors 100-75.

Jake Tsakalidis added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who swept the three-game season series from Golden State.

Memphis built the double-digit lead in the second period, outscoring the Warriors 27-9 and Golden State never threatened again, dropping their fifth straight.

Derek Fisher scored 17 points and Troy Murphy added 13 and 10 rebounds for Golden State, which benched its starters with about nine minutes left in the game.

Jason Richardson finished with nine points on 4-for-15 shooting, snapping a string of 87 straight games in which he played where he reached double figures

Reserve guard Antonio Burks was the only Memphis player to dress and not score.

Atkins’ 14 first-half points helped the Grizzlies to a 49-29 lead at the break. Tsakalidis’ 3-point play with under a second remaining in the half gave Memphis its biggest lead of the half.

The Warriors trailed 22-20 after one, but had a horrid second quarter missing 16 of 18 shots in the period, contributing to Golden State’s 23 percent shooting in the first half.

Richardson was limited to two points, connecting on only one of his 10 field goal attempts.

The nine points were the lowest second period of the season for the Warriors, and the 29 points was the worst scoring half.

Memphis would maintain the advantage through the third period, extending it to as many as 21 before leading 75-55 after three.
