LISBON — Lisbon High School Principal Ken Healey announced the Students of the Quarter at a schoolwide assembly on Feb. 24. Families of the recipients were also invited to attend the ceremony.

Students are nominated by teachers based on their outstanding academic achievements, overall character, willingness to assist others, for representing a positive role model to peers and their pride in school.

Freshman Kayla Angelico, daughter of Tina and Frank Angelico of Lisbon Falls, was nominated because she possesses a dynamic personality and gives her all to everything she does, Healy said. She is devoted to soccer and was named MVC All-Star her first season in high school.

Sophomore Student of the Quarter, Sarah Giraldo, daughter of Mary and Heran Giraldo of Lisbon Falls, is a conscientious student receiving high honors in the last quarter, said Healey. Outside of school she plays violin, is an active Young Adult Volunteer in the community and assists with her church youth group.

She is a Young Adult Volunteer, and very involved as vice president of the Class of 2011. Johnston is the daughter of Edith and Mark Johnston of Lisbon.

The senior Student of the Quarter was nominated because she is a friendly, helpful, caring dependable person who takes pride in everything, said Healey. Caitlin Gamache represents the school in soccer, basketball and track and is an active member of the senior student government. She is the daughter of Richard Gamache of Lisbon.
