Students graduate from Bowdoin

BRUNSWICK – Bowdoin College held its 202nd commencement exercises May 26. The following are students graduated:

Robert L. Guerette of Auburn, bachelor of arts degree. He graduated cum laude with a major in government and legal studies. His minor was in education studies. He was also named to the Sarah and James Bowdoin Scholars dean’s list, for distinguished scholarship.In addition he received the Paul Andrew Walker Prize for his exceptional contribution to the school’s newspaper the Orient. Guerette is a graduate of Edward Little High School.

Nicholas J. Lawler of Auburn, bachelor of arts degree. He graduated with a major in government and legal studies. Lawler is a graduate of Edward Little High School.

A. Tyler Turgeon of Auburn, bachelor of arts degree. He graduated with a major in biology. Turgeon is a graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School.

Louise Baker Duffus of Gray, bachelor of arts degree. She graduated with a major in economics. Her minor was in government and legal studies. In addition in both her senior and junior years, she received the Col. Edward A. Ryan Women’s Track and Field Award from the Department of Athletics. Duffus is a graduate of Gray-New Gloucester High School.

Michael J. Buckley Jr. of Manchester, bachelor of arts degree. He graduated with a major in government and legal studies. His minor was in economics. Buckley is a graduate of Maranacook Community School in Readfield.
