AUGUSTA – Two students in the Culinary Arts Program at Central Maine Community College in Auburn joined their instructor, Chef Donald Rossignol, to help Maine First Lady Karen Baldacci, Public Health Director Dora Anne Mills and the Dairy and Nutrition Council discuss the recent American Academy of Pediatrics report on children’s bone health and calcium intake.

The students presented their specially prepared dairy dishes at the event, hosted by Gov. John Baldacci and Mrs. Baldacci at the Blaine House, as part of the Three-a-Day campaign of the Maine Dairy and Nutrition Council.

Elise Thurlow of Albany Township and Frank Bary III of Augusta participated with their colleagues from four other Maine community colleges and provided their lobster and cod chowder for the assembled group to sample.
