launches new website Wednesday

LEWISTON — has been redesigned and launches today with a format that is easier to navigate and responsive to any device.

The website will be open to all users until Nov. 15 so users can experience its faster loading capabilities and easier-to-read content.

After Nov. 15, the obituaries and funeral notices will still be accessible at no cost, allowing our readers to easily share these notices with friends and family.

So that people can continue to enjoy the and our e-edition, we are requiring all digital subscribers to create a one-time new password the first time they log in.

To start that process, go to and login, or go directly to and follow the directions as noted. The page has step-by-step instructions for creating a new password. This is a one-time step, as we are moving all of our password storage.
Should anyone require further assistance, or have other questions, please feel free to contact our customer service department from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 207-784-3555.

LOL the previous SJ had a lot of issues, issues not related to navigatability but to content tbat had subscribers including me leaving in dtoves. This adds completely unnavigatable to terrible content. SJ will soon vanish as a separate from PPH publication as PPH no doubt intended when they bought SJ.
