Support group for teen parents at Auburn library

The Auburn Public Library will be holding a Teen Parent Support Group the first Monday of each month, beginning March 3, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The group is for teen moms and dads who would like some support and information about the challenges and successes of young men and women who have become parents during their teen years.

This group will be open to any teen parent between the ages of 13 and 19. Registration is not required. Child care and light snacks will be provided.

For the spring, the Teen Parent Support Group will be facilitated by Anita Charles, director of teacher education at Bates College.

In the fall, Marion Doyle, a school support clinician with the Lewiston-Auburn School-Based Health Centers, will be joining Charles as co-facilitator.
