Suzanne A. LeBlanc


BRISTOL, Conn. – Suzanne A. LeBlanc of Bristol Conn., formerly of Lewiston and Westport Island, died Monday, May 7, at home.

She was born in Lewiston on March 30, 1940, a daughter of the late Ralph J. and Alice (Costello) LeBlanc. She graduated from Lewiston High School, received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Farmington State Teachers College and a master’s in education from the University of Hartford.

She was a home economics teacher in the Bristol, Conn., school system from 1963, until her retirement in 1994. She was an active member of the Quota Club of Bristol and held many positions including: past president, district governor, chair of the World Service Committee and longtime member of the soup kitchen committee. She also served as secretary of the Bristol Chapter of the American Red Cross and was a first aid Instructor.

She was a summer resident of Westport Island for most of her life.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Mary and John Irwin of Bellevue, Neb.; three nephews, Michael, Scott (Jill) and Timothy Irwin of Bellevue, Neb.; and two great-nephews of Bellevue.
